    AUSTRALIA.

    84 Sgt William Martin BAKER RAAF.

    Sgt William Martin BAKER RAAF (of RAAF Station Point Cook), died at his residence, 41 Hawker St. Ivanhoe, Victoria, of an unspecified illness on 6 October, 1946. Sgt Baker RAAF, was an original member of the RAAF, having joined on 31 March, 1921. He had previously served in the 13th Light Horse and the Australian Motor Transport Section in the 1914-18 War. He was 55 years of age.

    GRAHAM, Antony - Sgt - 569351 (note spelling of Antony) - the National Probate Calendar records that he died at Bawtry Road, near Finningley.

    Leslie Frederick Berry 77960 , was reported missing believed drowned following a sailing accident on the River Elbe near Hanshall Sands. He entered the river at 16:40 Hours in an attempt to save a girl ( who was rescued 70 minutes later ) . His body was recovered from the Elbe on 21 October
