Though retired on June 30, 1934 as a Commander, he had been on active duty (as a temporary Captain) for nearly 1 year and 5 months as of the July 1, 1942

He is not listed on the Navy overseas casualties of WWII.

"Stanley Bernard Feakins 1616388 , attached to No 4 Radio School , was admitted seriously ill to RAF Hospital Innsworth on 13 February and underwent an operation for mastoiditis , but became seriously ill on 24 February and died from his condition"

I suspect he may have been moved before dying as his death is registered in Oxford?

Hi Malcolm , 're Feakins. There was nothing other than Innsworth & cause , Oxford makes sense with a mastoid if he ended up in Hughes College , BUT , no mention was made of it
