    DAVIES - newspaper report at the time showed 'L.-A.-C. Evan Davies, aged 37, which occurred in an R.A.F. hospital on Anrii 28th, alter an illness'. Unfortunatley a scanning error occurred on the hospital name.

    SAMPSON - also published on the same page in the neespaper was his:
    FATAL ROAD ACCIDENT An Ilfracombe Family's Bereavement A.-C. George Richard Sampson, R.A.F.. aged 33, only son of Mr. and Mrs. R. G. Sampson, of 78, Highstreet, Ilfracombe. met his death under tragic circumstances last last week………..In his message to the parents expressing profound sympathy, the CO. stated that their son had lost his life in a road accident. It apuears that deceased Was cycling back with his colleagues to camp on Thursday evening, when through the dazzling headlights of a motor-car the machine crashed against a hedge and deceased was thrown against a thrown against a stone wall.

    Davies was probably in the military hospital in Northallerton.

    PRYDE - died of Pulmonary Tuberculosis at 11.00 am on April 28th 1944, in the Isolation Hospital, Loanhead.

    Evan David Davies 1298786 , on long term medical leave, had been diagnosed with cancer of the colon whilst attached to 111 OTU in the Bahamas at RAF Hospital Nassau on 30 October 1943. Leaving New York for the UK on 10 February 1944, he was admitted to RAF Hospital, Northallerton where he died at 17:15 Hours
