    Alexander Glendinnig 87515

following Malcom's comment about the name of the ship involved , i have checked further and its very possible that Malcom was correct and that the name of the ship was miss spelt . It is called several different names in different reports, such as " Chang Tee " and other such similar names as the SS Chang Tai. What is certain is that a number of RAF airmen and officers were on board and that it was attacked 3 times by Japanese bombers before finally sinking stern first . Glendenning was seriously wounded in the leg on the first attack and was given morphia and he was seen to be alive, but unconscious on deck having been placed under cover from straffing as the ship sank with him on board. I will append the names of other airmen involved in a separate post
