Flight); 05.09.43 Flying Accident Cat A damage, 10 Ferry Pilot Pool, Evanton aircraft being delivered to 4 (C) O.T.U., Evanton (T.T. Flight) whilst taxying to dispersal undercarriage collapsed. Pilot Flying Offiver EWING, N.B. (A.T.A.) Uninjured. Accident time 10.42, Duty: Ferry Flight; 09.09.43 Repaired on Site (C.R.O.); 26.09.43 4 (C) O.T.U., Evanton (T.T. Flight); 03.05.44 Flying Accident Cat E damage, 4 (C) O.T.U., Evanton (T.T. Flight) aircrafts engine cut while target towing at 1500’, Sunderland crew state that aircraft attempted to ditch but on striking the sea the aircraft crashed and broke up. Cause of engine failure obscure and drogue not released, aircraft crashed 8 miles East of Cromarty. Pilot Warrant Officer HOLT, Roy Geoffrey (745893) Missing presumed Killed; T.T.O. This accident happened on the 3rd of May, 1944 at 10:20 hours. The aircraft was a Havard Mk. II, s/n AJ538 from No. 31 Service Flying Training School at Kingston, Ontario. The aircraft was up being tested after a major inspection and engine change. It spun into the St. Lawrence River, one mile north of Quebec Head.
Pilot – 1336405 Flight Sergeant R. Elliot - Missing
Other Crew – 967227 AC2 F. L. Cockshott – Missing.
Note: Cockshott bailed out but drowned

Meurig Jones 1475842 , a medically discharged airman at the time of his death , died at 13 Scotland Street, Llanrwst, of pulmonary tuberculosis
