    Dean, Davis and Smith were killed aboard Wellington LP665 of No.105 (T) OTU which crashed near Haltwhistle, Northumberland.

    Further to Col's post about JX338, the 240 Sqn ORB has this brief entry:

    Operation “Barnowl” concluded – aircraft K/240 (F/Lt R.C. Luck D.F.C.) failed to return from the operation.

    Patrick Beverley Laing Meason 103564 , attached to Number 83 RSU , was killed in a flying accident adjacent to Swakelys Road, Ickenham, Uxbridge . There is no indication of the aircraft involved in his records, but the balance of probability indicated it was Spitfire XIV RM 649
