    Derek Lawrence 1153001 , died on board HMT G ( SS Duchess of York ) of heatstoke and was buried at sea

    Thomas Dick 1559958, was dangerously injured when he fell from the window of a private house, dying at 23:30 Hours in Lewisham EMS hospital from multiple injuries

    James Grant McCoubrey DFM 45200 , was seriously injured In a flying accident in Whitley V N1373 at Forres Airfield at 10:45 Hours on 18 February , Admitted to Leancholl hospital he died of extensive burns

    129477 Aircraftman 2nd Class Reginald Henry CASELY

    AC2 Casely appears in the "Register of Deceased Passengers" as he was serving on SS Manela, described in another thread on this site as "the RAF's mobile flying boat base". Stationed at Lough Foyle in Northern Ireland, the register records that he was accidentally shot on 15 January 1941.

    “ SS Manella arrived in Sullom Voe on 27 June 1940 to serve as depot ship for 201 Squadron. On outbreak of World War Two it became headquarters of 100 Wing RAF until the shore base was established ashore at Graven.”

    Christos Papayiannopoulis was seriously injured in a road accident along with 640376 AC1 Mapletoft. Both were admitted to Samanud hospital, where Papayiannopoulis died the same day of his injuries
