A bit more on Harvard FH120 (Hyndman), from my notes:

Crashed 8 December 1943 after being caught in poor weather. Stalled during steep turn at low altitude while doing a low level circuit, struck ground 500 feet from main aerodrome. Crash location reported in local paper as 275 yards south of base runways. Instructor P/O J.L. Thornton and student LAC C.H. Hyndman killed.
