    My notes show that Henley's aircraft crashed near Kingston, NS, about 10 miles west of 36 OTUs home at Greenwood. The Aircraft Card shows the crash date as 19 April 1944, it may have been a night flight. I have no information on anyone else on board.

    G'day

    Mossie KB111 crashed north of the town of Kingston and 3 miles from Greenwood at 23:30 hours on the 18th of April, 1944.

    Also killed was the pilot, J29801 Flying Officer John Edward Bowers of West Allis, Wisconsin.

    Richard Alick Blackwell , died at the Avenue hotel , Fish Hoek, Simonstown, of a coronary thrombosis , having suffered two previous heart attacks on 31 December 1943 and 25 January 1944
