    UPGRADE to Joseph Jean Baptiste Berube R 126725, attached to Number 5 Manning Depot, he accidently drowned as the result of a boating accident on leave at Lake St. Louis, Quebec

    James Frederick Mayhew 1189393, attached to 13 OTU, was seriously injured in a flying accident involving Blenheim Z 7788 on 3 August, dying of his injuries the following day. Sergeant G Norton and Sergeant J M McCann survived the accident

    Samuel Milnes 1736576 , attached to Number 16 Recruits Centre , fell from a window of his billet , dying in Great Yarmouth hospital 6 hours later of a fractured skull and a fractured pelvis

    Ronald Solomon 937359 , motor boat crewman attached to Group 3 at RAF Jul, was killed at 09:00 Hours in an explosion and subsequent fire on board refuelling craft RAF 1149
