    The assumption entry for Gebbie 1066868 is 100% correct. The pilot, who survived , was F/S J Hadley who was uninjured

    He died 1941-07-18 according to CWGC

    I think he died in Northern Ireland - There is at least 1 death of someone with name William Bailey on GRONI for years 1941-1942 - Need to but credits to see it. I have found also

    Nothing at all matches on GRONI Paul , can't find him on Irish, English /Welsh or Scottish deaths either ! " Died " about as much use as a chocolate tea pot

    Did you find the William Bailey on GRONI ? 1940 to 1941 - Says "1 record"

    HE was 95 and died on 24 April 1941

    The Robert Bailey on GRONI was 21 and died on 1 May 1941 in Newry so that's not him either

    Henry Frederick David Sargeant 564410 , was killed when he fell from the third floor window of the Mega Ethnikon Hotel in Athens , suffering a fractured skull and ribs
