AC2 Casely appears in the "Register of Deceased Passengers" as he was serving on SS Manela, described in another thread on this site as "the RAF's mobile flying boat base". Stationed at Lough Foyle in Northern Ireland, the register records that he was accidentally shot on 15 January 1941.

Christos Papayiannopoulis was seriously injured in a road accident along with 640376 AC1 Mapletoft. Both were admitted to Samanud hospital, where Papayiannopoulis died the same day of his injuries
