I don't have anything for Hampton, considering that Macclesfield is local to me.

Though I notice he was from the north west side of Macclesfield and is buried in that area as well.

Can't add anything for the others either.

For reference, J G Fruchtl is registered in Ploughley & Bullingdon district, oxford.

I'd no luck with Ramsay & Hampton in Flight.

    Hello

AC2 Walter J. PRECIOUS - 1533160 - the Nottingham Journal of July 23rd 1942 reported the inquest on his death:

Lincs. Man Killed by Sten Gun
A young aircraftman, who accidentally shot his friend with a Sten gun, gave evidence at a South-East England inquest yesterday.
A verdict of "Accidental death" was recorded on A/C Walte Precious (20), of Kirton Lindsey, Lincolnshire, who died following a wound in the stomach.
A/C Howard Beard (19) said he was on duty at an R.A.F. station armed with a Sten gun. Orders were to carry the magazine in his pocket unless he had to fire the gun in the course of duty. Precious, his great friend, who was in the same billet, came to him and asked him for a cigarette.
"Jokingly I took the magazine from the pocket and placed it in the gun. Somehow the cocking handle must have been released and the gun went off."
An officer said a Sten gun had no safety device, and had to be handled carefully.

ACW2 Margaret G. TODD - 2080657 - the Lincolnshire Standard of July 25th 1942 carried the following announcement:

TODD - On July 19th, 1942, at the W.A.A.F.'s Hospitl, Bridgenorth, Shropshire, Margaret Gwendoline, the beloved wife of Lance Corporal R. L. Todd, of Swineshead Bridge, Boston, aged 20 years.

    Regards

    Simon
