    Henk, Sgt Robins' grave at Topcliffe has the initials "R.C." not "F.C." as would be expected. Probably an error in the part of CWGC / getting the stone carved.

    Given previous postings I would suggest the "F.C." is correct. One I will contact CWGC about and get his stone changed.

    UPGRADE to James Frank Hayden Stevens, 17th January, 1942. A 50 year old retired RAF Flying Officer, he died at 56 Clive Grove Porchester, of exhaustion and pulmonary tuberculosis

    Gordon John Carpenter 1295462, attached to 27 Squadron, was seriously injured in an air raid on 25 December 1941 and was admitted to Number 5 CCS with a shrapnel wound to the left thigh which necessitated an amputation. Transferred to the Malaya General hospital, He was removed from the seriously injured list, but on 5 January 1942, became dangerously ill with cellulitis in the amputation stump and died at 02:30 Hours
