For Sgt Leonard John Pearce see http://www.peakdistrictaircrashes.co...lesperfedd.htm

The two ATA casualties were aboard Beaufighter NV235 (incorrectly recorded as HV235 by No.4 (O)AFU) when they flew into the ground at the Mull of Galloway lighthouse (struck the roof of an outbuilding before crashing), also see http://www.raf-lichfield.co.uk/ATA%20Casualties.htm

Bowker, Lewis and Thompson were onboard Short Sunderland ML858, No.302 FTU, which crashed on St Kilda, their bodies (along with the Commonwealth crew members) were buried at sea by the RN.

SKEGGS is listed on the website http://www.combinedops.com/ROYAL_AIR...G_COMMANDO.htm
Serving with 3209 Servicing Commando - Most of 3209 sailed from Gosport on an American LST with the remainder of the unit on an LCT together with all the unit's cooking equipment. Unfortunately the LCT was sunk by enemy action and two airmen were killed and others injured.
It doesn't quote a number, but I guess it was LCT 715 that CROFTS was lost from on 7-6-1944 as per Malcolm.
