    A correction this time.

    576378 Aircraftman 1st Class Raymond George ANDERSON

    AC1 Anderson is currently listed among airmen killed in air raids. Based on various newspaper reports--including the Chelmsford Chronicle of September 5, 1941--he in fact died in Ongar Hospital on 27 August 1941 as a result of injuries accidentally caused during a 'mock duel' with another airman, his best friend. Given the location of the hospital, he was probably based at North Weald.

    According to his probate record, Corporal Laishley died at the Epilepsy Hospital in Maida Vale, London, on 21 May 1943.

    946209 Aircraftman 2nd Class Walter Henry NAUGHTON

    According to the record of his burial, AC2 Naughton died at the Memorial Sanatorium in Warwick on 27 August 1943, presumably from the effects of tuberculosis.

    George Wright Myers 103898 , supervising an organised PT and bathing party on Perranporth beach, drowned rescuing two airmen , Corporal Naylor and LAC Coward, a search by an Anson, a Walrus and by the Newquay lifeboat failed to find him

    John Henry Pedrick 1317921 and F/LT P E Suckling, were proceeding along the Nofila to Sirte Road in Bantam jeep WD 67884 when it stuck a mine and was completely destroyed , Pedick died within a few minutes of severe injuries

    Doris Capewell 478122 , a medically discharged Airwoman at the time of her death, died in the Groundslow sanatorium, Tittensor , of pulmonary tuberculosis with her father at her bedside
