"Wilfred Chapman 701347 , attached to Number 2 EFTS , was taken dangerously ill at RAF Bridge Norton on 1 October and transferred to RAF hospital, Halton, where he died of a cavernous sinus thrombosis"
I think this should be No 2 SFTS at RAF Brize Norton, No 2 EFTS was at Filton?
"Lawrence Smart 1639421 , was killed when a Lancaster based at RAF Upton, hit his tent ( at RAF Lasham ? ) when returning from operations . Another airmen lost a foot and and arm at the elbow and had his chest ripped open but he was resuscitated at SSQ and survived"
This was probably Lancaster III, JB217 of No 156 Sqn from RAF Upwood (not Upton), which crash landed at RAF Dunsfold.
