1332 htcu

Hi all

I am getting confused to the location of 1332 Heavy Transport Conversion Unit between June and December 1946. Some sources I read state it was as RAF Longtown others at RAF Dishforth.

Can anyone confirm its location please?

Formed 5.9.44 Longtown
7.10.44 Nutts Corner
27.4.45 Riccall
7.11.45 Dishforth

Became HTCU only in 5.47

This does tie in with some other data I have read also. Interestingly I have a service record that calls it 1332 HTCU in June 46, mind you that doesn't mean it was 100% called that as it also refers to 1662 as HCU when it was HTCU :)

You are welcome. Yes you cannot trust any record for 100%. Recently I have found in service record a posting in 1931 to the unit with name which does not exists till 1937!
