He could do worse than post an enquiry on the Facebook page 'Factory stamps ww2 aircraft' - folk on there have a wealth of knowledge but he must include a photo of the stamping which should be on the metal.
Keith
I have been contacted by a colleague in Holland who has asked if I know anyone who may be able to help confirm whether a couple of wheels that he has just received are from a Beaufighter. Would anyone be able to help with this enquiry (which is way outside my field of research) or can anyone point me in the direction of an expert on this subject
Regards
PeteT

Hi,
He can start to check the tire and wheel data. This is what I have on a Beaufighter, based from one source.
Main Tire - 14.00-14
Rim - Dia/Wd 14 / 9.5
Auxiliary Tire - 9.00X5¼
Rim - Dia/Wd 5.25 / 6.0
