    Default Propaganda Leaflet Belgium 1941

Hello, hoping someone can advise me on this question? My late father during 1941 as wireless operator flew with 1419 (S/Op) Flight from RAF Newmarket dropping agents/pigeons into France/Holland/Belgium. In one of his notes the pilot writes that on a return from Belgium (July) he dropped "pamplets" (presumably propaganda leaflets). Knowing that in Belgium they use three languages i.e. Dutch, French and German my first question is what language would have been used and does anyone know of a reference source to obtain copies? I know the National Archive keep records in ORB AIR20/4865 but they are closed re Covid.
    Many thanks in advance.

    Hi Fred,

View this page https://www.psywar.org/leaflets#wwii and you will need to scroll down to the British to Belgium and Allies to Belgium series. There are numerous samples and if there are not, the language is listed in the tabs across the top.

    Looks like predominantly
    Belgian / Flemish / Walloon.

    Hello ,

At thos e days the official languages in Belgium were Dutch and French , also the part of Belgium were the local people talked German (after WO I this area became Belgium ) was officiay part of the province Liége , so all the oficial papers were in French. After WO II they became officially the German /French speaking part of Belgium.

Hi, thanks for link, had a quick look but the dissemination dates don't match the date of the flight but I will register with them and see if I can get more info.

His ORB's record that Dad carried leaflets on several targets, but I have not been able to find any digital images of these. Unfortunately, I have not been able to determine anything specific at the Psywar.org site.
