Default Flights of RAF aircraft from Tain to Norway in June 1945

Hi all, I have found a vague information in Daily Order of 311 Squadron based in Tain about flights to Norway (Oslo?).
As there are different ranks and trades of those who took part (including ground satff), and other information says they should have service dress and no more then 2 pounds it looks like a leisure trips?

Anyone had noted such flights before and can add something more?

    TIA

David, it is hard to say. The order planed those flights for 3., 4., 6. and 8. June 1945. But I not know if all of them were flown or just some. Also some may be postponed to next day due to bad weather.

    Hi,
Probably nothing to do with it, but the Norwegian King Haakon returned to Oslo on 7th June 1945. He sailed on HMS Norfolk from Edinburgh on 5th June, so right across your time period.

I don't know whether this helps but I have a photograph of 60 Squadron Stirlings with airborne troops disembarked at Gardermoen in mid May 1945. I understand the troops were sent there to disarm the occupation forces.

Peter, yes I am aware of the king's return but I think tere will be no connection.
Dave, I think this would be not the case, it was to late for such a task.
My thoughts are that they were some kind of transport flights and some selected members of the squadron were allowed to visit Norway in addition to the standard crew. The question is if it was a service or private visit? So far I was able to find out none of them has any relation to Norway, also their trades were quite different: Adjutant, Medical Officer, Fitters, Accountant NCO... The interesting point may be that all of them except one speaked German so maybe they may be posted there for interpreter duties?
Due to lack of information I am not able to say if they were sent there just for one day returning the same day of for longer period. Also I am not sure if they were flown there by 311 Sq aircraft or any other unit - I have checked also 86 Sq ORB but there is nothing there.

    So the little mystery remains.
