The Evening Despatch of September 7th 1942 reported the following:

Segt. Thomas Rowland Gough, the Poles, Ludlow, Shropshire and Sergt. Frank Thompson, 24, Gravelly-lane, Erdington, Birmingham, are reported from a German source to be prisoners of war.

Gough was also a crew member on N3705:

Yes, something doesn't add up. Sorry if I've confused things!

Either he's the Edwards on N2805 on September 11th 1941 and the May 20th 1940 date is wrong, or he is indeed L. H. Edwards and became a P.o.W. on May 20th 1940 and the N2805 reference is indeed spurious as you point out Paul.

I was supposed to be going through all the RAAF personnel and their A705's etc but I have stalled for many and various reasons, one thing I stupidly didn't do was didn't record names or numbers of non RAAF appearing in the A705 crew lists.

is this still needed or is it done already?
