Can anyone tell me what Squadron Ernest Townsend flew with towards the end of WW2. He apparently flew 11 Operations before the end.

You can download the ORB of No. 61 Squadron from The National Archives, using the free download when registered user.

Like Dave, I haven't listened to the interview, but reading the description, I'm inclined to think he flew his ops at the end of WW2.

So, if you start from 1945 and go backwards in time, you should be able to built his tour of operations in compiling the form 541s.
