    Hello, Forumites
long shot I know, but, does anybody have information/contacts re the F/Sgt R Smallbone crew who were on 37 and 40 squadrons (Wellingtons) in Italy during 1944/45?
    The full crew were:

    F/Sgt T Mabbett
    W/O V Bonnett (RAAF)
    F/Sgt T Herbert

    Andy,
AIR27/396 part two has some nominal rolls for 37 Sqn for the time you are looking at. Your crew seem to be 1444793 Robert Jack Smallbone, 1804009 Thomas Edward Mabbett,
1390495 Thomas Frederick Herbert and 2218724 Walter Cyril Baker.
    Regards, Mark.

    Pete, Mark
Thank you for that. R J Smallbone was the man. I am in contact with F/Sgt Herberts daughter, and she was wondering if any
of the crew or relatives were still around.
The Appendix to both 37 and 40 are quite fascinating and fill in several gaps re the squadron history’s...
