    Hello

M.M. CARTER didn't lose his life in a crash, but on the ground, with French troops, during a German aerial bombing. Sources quoting "Zeebrugge" as place of crash or "last seen" are a misreading of "Maubeuge".

    Hello Joss,
I found the info on Carter in a quick look in Brian Cull's "Twelve Days in May", page 155
    Quote
    "N2534 - 3 Sqn - Flt Lt M.M. Carter: Shot down
North of Maubeuge by Bf110C of Ii/ZG76; pilot killed"
Also same details in FCL vol 1 revised edition.
Your details seem to be in conflict with the above.
Anyone have further details to confirm or reject either version ?
    Please contribute.
    Thanks
    Alex
