Default Crew of Lancaster LM138 622 Squadron 23/06/44

Can anyone help please with the crew names aboard on the night 23rd June 1944 when shot down. It's for an amateur genealogist who is reseaching one member named Meese but hasn't been able to locate the other crew members.

    Thanks

    Rick

    Good morning,

    F/Sgt Chapman's A705 lists the crew's service numbers:-

CHAPMAN, Richard John - (Flight Sergeant); Service Number - 4221177 (NB: This number appears incorrect, and should be 421177)

COOKE W H – (Flight Sergeant); Service Number – 42773 RNZAF (NB: This number appears incorrect, and should be 42373)
    HANSFORD R J – (Flight Sergeant); Service Number – 1337128

    SIMMONDS A W – (Flying Officer); Service Number – 51035

    OLIVER F – (Sergeant); Service Number – 1006958

DURRANT T – (Flight Sergeant); Service Number – 415243 RNZAF

    MEESE D – (Sergeant); Service Number - 2201408

Chapman was in Stalag Luft VII, PoW number 243

CWGC has W/O Wilfred Harold Cooke, as above, and Sgt Frederick Oliver. According to the Auckland Museum site, there is a street named after W/O Cooke and Sgt Oliver in Socx

    F/O Albert William SIMMONDS (51035)

    F/Sgt Thirlstone Durrant

    Hope this helps,

    Jeff

Thanks for the target confirmation John. My interest is that my father was badly wounded on the same night attacking a flying bomb site at Coubronne.

Can you supply details of your Dadís operation on this night. Do you have a crew photo?

    Cheers,

    John.
