There seems to be a lot of confusion surrounding the date of this loss, which was at 0200 in the morning.
Looking at our database entry: http://www.rafcommands.com/database/...php?uniq=K9176
    a) the main entry says 21 May
    b) TNA says 23 May: http://discovery.nationalarchives.go...ls/r/C14502366
    c) CWGC list the date of Livingston's death as 22 May: https://www.cwgc.org/find-records/fi...on,-alexander/
    d) the POW entry for Annan lists his date of capture as 20 May
So we have four different dates!
It seems likely that the incident was either on the night of 20/21 May (so 0200 on 21 May), or the night of 21/22 May (so 0200 on 22 May)
    Ideas anyone?

    Hello Andy,
Chorley has in his revised vol of BCL has the dates as 20-21 May. It may also be the case that this airman may have died from injuries after he was taken prisoner .
