Default Records for Sqn Ldr Lloyd Miller Timmins RAFVR DOD 21st March 1943

Hi i am a volunteer with the CWGC - the EOHO project visiting the "scattered graves" in the UK to check on the condition of the Grave.s i have just been allocated Sqn Ldr L M Timmins RAFVR 22126 died 21st March 1944, and buried in Rayne, Essex

    https://www.cwgc.org/find-records/fi...tails/2427020/

I would appreciate assistance and any information on his service/ cause of death etc.

I am aware he was married, no information of children.

I am also aware that the headstone appears to give an incorrect age (44) at death. He was actually 46, having been born in 1898 in Derby. This will be reported for consideration of amendment in due course.

    Many thanks

    Hello,

From the 1939 England Wales Register it would appear there were three children. Their names are redacted. Your chap is shown as a commercial traveller. At the time he's shown as a Flying Officer.

His surname, as written on the Register, was Miller-Timmins. His wife's maiden name was Erskine-Thomas. She had been married to a chap named Neil Gooch in 1924.

I have no information on his trade or service.

    Regards,

    Dave

    Hello

The register of his burial is available on the Essex Archives website. A high res copy costs £2.99, and may have some further details:

    https://www.essexarchivesonline.co.u...spx?id=1330078

And you may want to change the thread title - he died in 1944 as per your first post, not 1943 as in the title.

Paul I have now received his death certificate - complications of peritonitis by a leaking ulcer. You mention he is one of the "unaccounted" - are you in a position to update this?

    Thanks to all for help.
