Default Anyone have a Fold3 or FindMyPast Account ?

Donít suppose anyone has a Fold3 or Find My Past account ? I need to check what an Airman record says when he died in 1921 as different sources have two Sqns ?

    AIRCRAFTMAN 2ND CLASS
    THOMAS GEORGE HENRY COMPORT
    Service Number: 331540

    Died 26 January 1921

CWGC says 3Sqn but I have also seen 27Sqn listed

Died of Typhoid at Bangalore British Station Hospital

    Thanks Paul

    Paul

His R.A.F. record on FMP has for the last five entries:

Halton to R.A.F. India eff. 17.3.20
    27 Sqdn to R.A.F. Seh (?) India eff. 16.9.20
R.A.F. Seh. India to 3 Sqdn eff. 13.11.20
To 27 Sqdn eff. 15.4.20 [this and the one above in that order - maybe 15.11.20...?]
Adm B. S. H. Bangalore eff. 22.1.21 Departure Authority 3 Sq [and what looks ike 'of 7'...?]

The entry for his discharge has:

"Died Station Hospital Bangalore of Typhoid on 26.1.21. 3 Sqdn" and again what looks like 'of 17' after that. I can send a copy of it over if you need it - you may be able to decipher it better!

Simon thanks helps no end and explains the confusion. 3 Sqn it is then ! I think those numbers are those you can see on his casualty index file on RAF Museum Vault

    Kind Regards Paul

    Hello Paul,
I have sent you a few emails. Hope they work as they enclose some downloads from Fold3.

Glad they worked right for a change.
On one page it seems to say 3 Sqn to 27 Sqn, but later it mentions 3 Sqn, so perhaps he never got the chance to enact an actual physical transfer ?
