    Default Edmund Fraser WILDE 1588888

    Hello,
    I am interested in finding the service history of this airman.
    1588888 - Edmund Fraser Wilde.
    DoB - 2nd October 1921.
    Death 1979.
    Guidance welcome.

    Additional info.
    Post WW2 he became a teacher.
    Was a local Town Councilor as was his wife.
    Also stood for Parliament but was unsuccessful, which was great because he was a great teacher.
    Also was in charge of the local Army Cadet force and school Unit.
    He'd did say that he was a Navigator and had flown both Wellington and Lancaster bombers.
    There was a photo of a post war 115 Sqn Lancaster "KO-J" in his office .

    Just remembered today that he did some training in Texas, USA. Story was that the family he was billeted with were KKK, but it was never discussed.

    I think that the service number was from his enlistment in or after September 1941 in the Western Super Mare area.

    I found two other numbers, of a batch of ten, 1588880/1588889. 1588886, and 1588889 ( who was a fatality) but nothing more ��
