    Alan /Dave,

I recon that Spitfire you have from the MRT list 1973 list will be MD109 and date is 20 April 45. Pilot P/O R.B.Todd.
Aye, a bit disappointing that Lysander Police Report. Will let you know if ever I get that 1180.

    Regards
    Dave

Having taken the RAF Museum's advice, emailed my Blenheim loss enquiry to the Air Historical Branch AHB.RAF email address supplied.

That elicited, after some delay, the following automated reply which may be of interest to others:

"The Air Historical Branch (RAF) is currently closed due to the 3rd National Lockdown.
All enquiries received prior to the lockdown but not yet answered and any new enquiries received during the lockdown will be answered upon our return.
All enquiries will be answered in order of date received.
Please do not send any chaser emails as this may result in further delays.
We thank you for your patience."

Does anyone know if these delays are currently applicable to the Imperial War Museum also ? I've tried to purchase a photo for weeks now, and after the initial automated email, there is no response what-so-ever. What gives ?

To conclude my part in this thread on Form 1180 research initially via RAF Museum, then at their suggestion referring my request to Air Historical Branch:
following the AHB automated reply of 9 Aug, today, 26 Aug, received a detailed answer from AHB Staff.

In current circumstances I appreciate the timeliness and thoroughness of the replies from both the Museum and AHB.
