This is probably the loss of Wellington VIII serial HF910 which lost its wing fabric covering and was ditched about 2 miles north west of Malta.

I don't have any details of other casualties at present but the 1180 will reveal.

This comes from some information sent to me several years ago, which itself probably came from the A-B serials.

    Hi There,

I was wondering if you could help me find more information on F/Sgt Groom Peter James 656659? I know this an old thread but i have found it searching via Peters name.

Peter was my Grandfathers cousin. I have been investigating my family tree and have come across the memorial plaque in Malta (which I am planning to visit one day).

It would be great to find out more info on what happened, is there someone that could help me?

    thank you
