John Edward Randell Wood's aircraft was a Hurricane of 79S, possibly N2384, not Wellington N2984 of 149S which crashed in Norfolk 2/3/1940.
However the only place I can find any losses for 79S for this day is in Norman Franks' Fighter Command Losses vol 1, where he names two pilots Wood and EW Mitchell as being lost He gives P3461 as Mitchells a/c but has no suggestion for Wood's, I found the loss of N2384 listed in ABS.

Once again, this is because the database uses TNA, which is again wrong in this case: https://discovery.nationalarchives.g...ls/r/C14502910
