    Yes, It could be a German in a British uniform. But his smile is more sour/sweet than the big smiles of the men in German uniform.
    If he was a German, then he was also a good actor!

    "Dit is een gevangengenomen Engels bemanningslid, waarschijnlijk niet in de omgeving van Heusden volgens dhr. P. Pouwels uit Elshout."

    @Finn: thanks for the links. It shows that the picture indeed has had a pretty wide distribution.
    The quoted Dutch text translates as: "this is an arrested English crew member, problably not in the vicinity of Heusden, according to mr. P. Pouwels from Elshout". I think that's correct: it was not there.
