    CANADA
SAUVE, Joseph Ives Aurelien - Lac - 7676 - RCAF.
Hull (Notre Dame ) Cemetery, Quebec, Canada.
    Cause of death reportedly drowned.

Stationed at RCAF Rockcliffe. Drowned at Lac Philippe, Quebec. His wife stated he swam about 20 feet towards a boat when he appeared to develop what looked like cramps and went under.

A dozen years earlier, this airman's father also drowned when the truck in which he was a passenger crashed through a bridge on the Hull - Montreal Hwy near Plaisance, Quebec.

The Hudson's serial should read N7231, Air Safety Network site acknowledges this error in the official record, quote

"Note that the official Air Ministry file AIR 81/1114 contains an error (presumed to be a "typo"): The Lockheed Hudson involved in the above incident was N7231 and NOT N7251. (Lockheed Hudson N7251 never served with 220 Squadron; its career was with 224 Squadron, 233 Squadron, 1 (Coastal) OTU and 83 Group Communications Flight before being relegated to become a ground instructional airframe 4266M in October 1943)"
