    Default Grandadís WW2 RAF Units.

Hi everyone, I wonder if somebody could possibly help me please identifying some of the RAF WW2 Units on my late grandadís Service Record. Iím stuck on the following:
    7 STT,
    A.S.T.P. Air Min,
    3056 SU
    Thanks ever so much,
    David

7 STT is 7 SoTT or No.7 School of Technical Trianing?

3056 S.U. is likely 3506 Servicing Unit as per the request for your grandmothers WAAF record

Thanks Chris. Yes my Grandad was also at 3506 S Unit like my Grandmother but his service record also separately shows him at 3056 SU shortly after he was at 3506 S Unit which makes me think they may have been different units or do you think somebody wrote it incorrectly? Many thanks, David

Many thanks. Am I correct in thinking No 7 School of TT was in India? My grandad was at 7 STT for just two months in 1940 & all his other units were UK until he went to West Africa. Just wondering why he may have been sent all the way to India?

I cannot find any reference to a 3056 Servicing Unit so I suspect this is was an error.

    Hi

I suspect 3056 SU is a clerical error for No 3056 Servicing Echelon (not Unit)
