    Default 104 Sqn combat reports

    Hi All,

A mate has asked he was trying to check the combat reports for 104 Sqn (September 39-February 42) but cannot find any. Does anyone know why there arenít any at the National Archives?

    Cheers,

    John.

Check the ORB Appendices - they sometimes have them in there:

For example, there's one on page 51 of 269.

I don't know the reason but a lot of the early ones are missing, for example I have been unable to find any for 78 Squadron until 1942. The same with other Squadrons, I have looked at.

    Hi Daz,

Thanks for the information, perhaps with the Germans knocking at the door in the early days keeping records was not a high priority!

    Cheers,

    John.
