F/O Menard JJ N° 416sqdn crashlanding on february 25 1945

Hello ,

On February 25 1945 Spitfire SM227 from N° 416 sqdn flying from Evere Belgium engine exploded during a armed recce mission. F/O Menard J J ( SAFE ) RCAF made a bellylanding and was safe. Does someone has an idea whrer this happened.

Salut Alain - Jack was seen to make a successful crash landing north-east of Dorsten. He then called on the R/T to let everyone know he was uninjured. He would become a 'Kriegie' for the next two months.
