RAF Target towing manuals

Hi all,

I´m looking for ww2 RAF Target towing manuals for air to air and anti-aircraft firing practice. Manuals for pilots, winch operators and for associated equipment - towed targets, winches …

Any idea will be warmly appreciated

The National Archives at Kew have some manuals covering towed targets, AIR 10/2050, AIR 10/2050, and AIR 10/2355. They are on my list to view but I haven't been there since 2018. I think only the last one is from wartime the others being pre-war.

As an aside I cannot find any references to air to air firing practice from 1925 to 1934. Odd that only air to ground practice was carried out, especially since a lot of air to air firing practice was carried out in WW1. Another lesson forgotten maybe?

Hi PNK thank you for reaction, I´ve checked TNA Catalogue and found some manuals for target towing. Manual AIR 10/2355 from 1943 seems to be interesting one for me. Milan
