D.A.Olley 1940 RAF

Recently acquired a Gieves officer's cap with a label to a "D.Olley" and it seems Forces War Record suggests it could be the following? I was wondering where I could find more information on this gent?
It has the 21 Old Bond St address, so definitely a pre-1946 purchase. Would be looking at any D.Olleys who were officers pre-1945. Funnily, the 1945 Air Force List does not record any D. Olleys.

Typical output of FWR to justify fees = tease of this could be = but no proof.

Gieves were still selling previous stock from new premisis so not definitely pre-1946 purchase

It belongs to a Pilot Officer commissioned 2nd July 1952.

I don't think it is as late as 1952. I have a dated 1950/1951 Gieves hat and the design is different and the address label also indicating 27 Old Bond Street.
I think it could be as late as 1949 but definitely not 1950.

You cannot find a D Olley commissioned before 1946 so try to fit D A Olley that you have no more than a line on FWR into the artefact.
