Default Escape and Evasion report assistance if possible

I'm assisting a French (amateur) historian and artist who is interested in the escape and evasion report for F/O Ralph W Nickerson of 421 Squadron RCAF, shot down by flak on Ramrod 905, a.m. on 21 May 1944, baled out, but not near Amiens as in FC losses, but in Motteville in Normandy. Amiens is quite far from Motteville. Motteville is near Yvetot, near Rouen. who managed to successfully evade as a farmer supplied him with civilian clothes and hid him until joining up with Canadian forces in August, can anyone assist please.

    Many thanks

    Allan

    Allan,

I don't believe there is one. Oliver Clutton-Brock has it marked as "Not Found" in his "RAF Evaders". He also makes no appearance on any casualty lists

Nickerson passed away in Calgary 14 December 1998. As such, the 20 years required by Library and Archives Canada, to release the file has now passed.

    Regards,

    Dave
