    Default Loss of Harvard P5942,9/6/1942

    Hi,
Seeking details of the loss of Harvard P5942, 20 SFTS on the 9/6/1942.
There is F/Sgt. Nicolas HRISTAKOS - 657 Greek Air Force.
Until today I understood that he was the only crew. But have found that there seems to have been another crewmember.
Cadet. E, TSINGAS I have no idea if this is the correct spelling. But that is how in "Clipped Wings ". TSINGAS does not seem to be recorded in CWGC. Anyone have his place of rest details ?

    Thanks
    Alex

    Thanks again Paul,
As earlier the spelling of the name TSINGAS(correct TSIGAS) did not help. Also as earlier this airman also I cannot find in CWGC ?
    BUT
with regards to CHRISTAKOS. CWGC Has spelling as HRISTAKOS.He rests at Harare (Pioneer)Cemetery, Zimbabwe.

I would suggest the original Greek character spelling is correct - it is how it is translated into English

If the AIR81 lists him as CHRISTAKOS . Likely CWGC is a typo.

AIR81/14995 Harvard I P5942 Sergeant N Christakos (Royal Helenic Air Force), Sergeant E Tsingas (Royal Helenic Air Force): killed; Harvard P5942, 20 Service Flying Training School, aircraft accident, crashed near Trelawny, Salisbury District, South Rhodesia, 9 June 1942. C17386494
