Just an observation, the national stripe on his shoulder looks to be a longer word than CANADA, could it be Newfoundland ?
Can anyone help locate where this photo was taken?
Canadian RCAF man left NY about June 1942.
Bike looks like a 1930's Model 9 Sunbeam.
Was apparently killed during ww2.

I sent your photo to a mate who is a motorcycle expert and you are right it is a Sunbeam from the late 1930’s.
