    Default 2SFTS, accident 29th December 1940.

    Hi Guys,

On 29th December 1940 at 11.00AM, LAC Ken Fenton as part of 2SFTS was involved in an accident involving Airspeed Oxford R357, which crashed at Tadpole Bridge, 2 miles South of Bampton, Oxfordshire.

Can anyone add anything to this information?

    Regards,

    Nick

    Hi Nick,

from RAF Serials by Air Britain:
R6357 - engine cut on low flying excercise, hit trees and crashed, ... the rest is location exact with yours.

Thanks fella's. Ever hopeful of more info.

I have a piece of the prop from this prang in the garage, just heard about it but no previous. I do not think that this is refered to in any related books.

    Nothing on 2SFTS ORB.

    Regards,

    Nick

Does anyone have the relevant volume of Chorley? Does it list this accident?

    Thanks Eddie.

I thought there was a OTU/Training command version.
