I have used https://www.arcre.com/
before is he your usual source ?
Thanks Paul
Recognising the complexities of file ordering etc which are now in place at the TNA, I was wondering if forum members are aware of anyone who is currently providing a copying service (as my regular Service Provider appears to have gone "off radar"). I know I can order them direct from TNA, but as you know, the Service Providers are a cheaper alternative.
Any help would be much appreciated

As far as I know all research services are suspended due to induced limits on files provided to reading room.

Well he updated his website to state 2022
Lee of Arcre is working on the copying services but its limited service and three months behind.
The website says the work is limited to AIR81 and a few others.
Due to the current COVID-related restrictions in place at the National Archives, ARCRE can only offer a very limited copy service at this time.
Only orders from the following record series will be processed:
AIR 81, WO 374, WO 339, FCO 168, FO 1110, HS 9
Unfortunately, my files do not fall within these parameters, hence my request to see if any other copying services are currently available

Hi all,
yes I have seen he updated his website in 2022 and also I am aware of the restriction but this has been there since summer 2021 already.
My last communication with Lee was on 15.8.21:
Hi Pavel, Getting closer to normal now but there are still some restrictions in place regarding visits to the National Archives.
At the moment I'm focused on completing the backlog of outstanding orders.
Feel free to place a new order but it might be still a couple months before I will get to it I'm afraid.
Best wishes,
Lee
Anyway if anyone would be able to suggest any other freelance researcher covering the RAF in TNA I will be very thanful.

Hi,
I found a list of independent researchers on the National Archives: https://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/...id=17&x=93&y=9
Is there anyone with experience of any of these researchers?
Regards
Peter
