Once again, that is directly down to the serial being listed wrongly in AIR81/3583.
I have adjusted the database accordingly.
This was N3531, as per: https://discovery.nationalarchives.g...ls/r/C16687671
N3513 was a Fairey Battle serial.

Thanks again Andy, but again see here -
http://www.rafcommands.com/database/...p?qname=633160
And
http://www.rafcommands.com/database/...hp?qname=N3513
So maybe a Blenheim, Battle or Defiant or even another type :)

Alex,
Sorry, you've lost me.
He was hit by Blenheim N3531 of 235 Sqn, like it says in TNA: https://discovery.nationalarchives.g...ls/r/C16687671
The 235 Sqn ORB confirms that one of their aircraft "F" hit a tractor while taking off from Thorney Island, killing the driver: https://discovery.nationalarchives.g...ils/r/D8395840

Thank you Andy, Yes it was a Blenheim.
The problem I had without looking at the ORB for 59 Sqn was that in AB's L1000 - N9999 was that for N3531 it had -
235/143/489/143/86 - SOC 12/5/44. No mention of 59 Sqn.
Now also looked at Defiant I - N3513, it has -
54OTU/60OTU/1481 Flt, SOC 16/1/45. Again no mention of 59 Sqn.
So the event was a ground accident involving a 235 Sqdn Blenheim, while the victim was noted as belonging to 59 Sqdn.
Thanks for your help as always reliable.
Alex
