Hi
A number of pilots passed through the unit on operational rest. I do not want to give any names from the memory, but I guess ORB would be the best bet. Please, remind me next week to check the few names I have.

Hi
I wonder please if anyone can provide any names for any pilots who would have flown with the 84 GSU (Group Support Unit) between September 1944 and June 1945 while at either Thruxton or Lasham. I have one name a Lt Eidsvik but others would be most welcome.
Thanks

Hi Franek
Just reminding you as requested by your goodself if you could post any names of the 84 GSU pilots please.
Hi
By far not complete list. Ranks might be inaccurate. As you can see those were short postings quite often. Some of the pilots being there prior to posting to operational units, and some on operational rest. ORB should have an exhaustive list.

Thank you ever so much for those, much appreciated.
Would you know please if any log books are online for any of these pilots as I would like to also find out if possible which Spitfires they may have flown with the 84 GSU.
Hi
Mind you this is just a small fraction of pilots posted. Sorry, I am not aware of any log books of the pilots being posted online. I know that some log books copies are around with the researchers, but I do not have copies.
In regard of Spitfires, virtually everyone flown by Squadrons of No 84 Group. Purpose of No 84 GSU was to deliver Spitfires to them or to take them back to the UK. ATA pilots were also involved.
I have not seen No 84 GSU ORB, but it may have many answers.
