    Default Welman parachute drop

    Ref my recent post on the AFEE trials: I understand it dropped a Welman submarine without a man inside, probably released from a Halifax. This was with a large parachute cluster that became known as a Welman cluster. Does anyone have details of this drop made circa 1949 during the final year of AFEE at RAF Beaulieu?
