Have NEVER seen the term "E of J" expressed in abbreviated form, but have come across thousands of examples when the (presumed) expression is expressed in the full, so would have to agree with Pavel. Have never come across any sign of actual, deliberate confirmation, but overwhelming amount of "evidence by extraordinary closeness of proximity" (not a real legal term, just mine!)

Have seen the abbreviation ‘E of J’ several times on Form 1180s where the context clearly indicates that it stands for Error of Judgment.
