    Default Demon K5686 - Air Britain K file look up please

    Hello

    Can anyone please look up Hawker Demon K5686 in 'The K File' please? I know it served with 607 Squadron, and ended up as 2030M in 1940, but I would be grateful for a full history with dates.

    Just thinking aloud, why would K5688 have had two different M serials at the same unit?
    Is it possible that we are looking for another aircraft for one of them?

    A more thorough examination of the instructional airframe numbers list shows that K5686 is listed three times (at least). Once against the number that appears in ABS, 2030M and again against 1902M and yet again against 2243M, this last entry with an asterisk which is not specifically explained (there are many others). In his preamble to the list the author comments that "Of all the allocations the M suffixed series are the most inconsistent since in many cases they were re-numbered on being transferred to new locations."
